Overview

The ability for an end user to receive the insights an Andi® skill provides depends on whether the skill is enabled or disabled. Audiences provide you with the ability to determine what group of users or regions are able to see an enabled skill. This article will cover what audiences are, their use cases, and how to manage the audience(s) a user or region belongs to.

What is an Audience?

An Audience consists of a group of application users or regions within an organization who are able to see an enabled skill.

The Andi® platform contains the following default audiences:

Testing
When a skill is deployed, it will go to the testing audience. The lifecycle of all skills will start with this audience and allows any user in this audience (such as a user with the skill developer security profile) or region, to complete initial testing of the skill in the application to ensure the skill code functions properly before publishing a new skill or testing out future versions of a skill while the current version remains enabled for everyone.
Everyone
The users of this audience are the complete set of end users of the application. Any user with an active account in the application will be able to see the enabled skill. Because the everyone audience is for all users of the application, you will not be able to make any changes to it in the Audiences Admin page tab.

You will enable or disable a skill for an audience on the skill page.

Managing your Audiences

Administrators with the Manage Audiences permission will be able to add or remove users and regions from audiences in the Andi® Skills Manager.

On the Admin page, select the Audiences tab.
